Kaleidoscope R&D

In January 2021 we worked with the third year BA Acting Students at London College of Music & Acting to deliver an Arts Council supported R&D of ‘Kaleidoscope’. The project was delivered entirely over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kaleidoscope centres around themes of faith and sexuality and the difficulties that lie within existing between these two worlds. This was presented publicly as a rehearsed reading over zoom in January.

What People Are Saying

“Jess and Becky made us feel very comfortable and gave us so many ideas to make a zoom play super fun. It was probably the best use of zoom I’ve seen since the pandemic began.”

‘Working alongside two talents such as Becky and Jess meant that any ideas and suggestions made by them simply heightened my ability to portray my character. I also liked how friendly and full of energy everyone was.

‘The freedom, respect and safe space that was created. It was a beautiful place to create and produce creativity! Everything clicked into place, and make us feel very involved in the process’

— R&D Participant

It was a collaborative setting and my intent as a creative was respected. I really enjoyed the activity’s present to us, which helped to understand both the play and our characters more. It was an excellent process ’
